April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. Ross is among a few female beach volleyball players that have done so. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. Together, they won bronze medals in beach volleyball for the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Following high school, and for a few several years prior to hitting the beach as a professional Ross was a ball for the USC Trojans as an collegiate. Ross's Trojans experience was impressive. She was an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. She was also a key player for helping the Trojans reach the Final Four. The second season of her career she suffered a devastating personal tragedy, but earned the distinction of being an All-American. The two years following her she led the Trojans to the top of the mountain and clinched consecutive national championships. In 2003-04, Ross was named as the most successful female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in the United States by The Honda Sports Award. Ross who was an USC international relations student was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross never saw her daughter achieve the heights of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer when she was a sophomore at USC. She has kept her parents close to her the heart. Margie continues to be an inspiration on and off at the beach.
